Trish studied danced in Melrose at the Judith Clark Academy of Dance for many years. She was accepted as a dance major at UMASS Amherst and graduated in 1986. Although she earned her degree in Sociology, her love for dance never wavered. She has done choreography for both Lynnfield and Tewksbury High Schools. Trish attended and graduated from the Dance Teachers Club of Boston’s Teacher Training Program. During the summer Trish reverts back to being a student. This summer she is studying ballet with Michelle Dalton at the Andover School of Ballet and Lori Nowak and Cosmin Marculetiu both of New England Movement Arts. She believes that continuing to learn promotes motivated teaching. This summer she is enjoying taking class along side of her students with guest faculty Miss Carla Otero. Trish attended the Leading Edge Dance Teachers Conference held in Lafayette LO. This event was focused on safe and effective ways to train your students holistically, for a deeper and more enjoyable experience of dance. Training strong and healthy dancers has become a mission for Trish. Her ongoing work with Maribeth Crupi PT is another. Maribeth works primarily with dancers in an effort to teach them techniques and exercises to keep them injury free. Trish happily presents this to her students knowing it will make them stronger, healthier and happier dancers! It is an exciting time as we hold close our specialty of teaching the youngest dancers while we continue to develop an exceptional program for older students. Dance on!!
